Accessing Settings
To access your account settings:
- Log in to your EziLinks account
- Click "Settings" in the navigation menu
The settings page is organised into sections:
Profile Settings
Update your basic account information in the Profile section.
Username
Your username is displayed in your account and cannot be changed after registration.
Email Address
The email address associated with your account. Used for login and notifications.
To change your email:
- Enter your new email address
- Click "Update Profile"
- Verify the new email if prompted

Changing Your Password
Keep your account secure by using a strong password.
1 Go to Settings
Navigate to Settings from the navigation menu
2 Find Change Password Section
Scroll down to the "Change Password" section
3 Enter Current Password
Type your current password to verify your identity
4 Enter New Password
Enter your new password and confirm it
5 Save Changes
Click "Change Password" to save
Password Requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Mix of letters and numbers recommended
- Avoid using common words or personal information
API Access
Pro users can access the EziLinks API to programmatically create and manage short links.
Your API Key PRO
Your API key is a secret token that allows programmatic access to your account.
Finding Your API Key
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the API Access section
- Click "Show" to reveal your API key
- Click "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard

Keep Your API Key Secret!
Never share your API key publicly or include it in client-side code. If your key is compromised, regenerate it immediately.
Regenerating Your API Key
If you believe your API key has been compromised:
- Go to Settings > API Access
- Click "Regenerate Key"
- Confirm the action
- Update your applications with the new key
Note: Regenerating your API key will immediately invalidate the old key. Any applications using the old key will stop working.

QR Code Logos PRO
Upload custom logos to add to your QR codes for branding.
Uploading a Logo
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the QR Code Logos section
- Click "Upload Logo"
- Select your image file (PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP)
- Choose the logo type: Center or Corner
- Give your logo a name for easy identification
- Click "Upload"
Logo Requirements
- Maximum file size: 2MB
- Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP
- Recommended: Square images for center logos, transparent backgrounds (PNG)

Managing Logos
- Rename: Click the edit icon to rename a logo
- Delete: Click the delete icon to remove a logo
- Note: Deleting a logo doesn't affect QR codes already generated with it
Tag Management PRO
Tags help you organise your links into categories for easy filtering.
Creating Tags
Tags can be created in two ways:
- When creating/editing a link: Type a new tag name in the tags field and press Enter
- From Settings: Go to Settings > Tags and click "Add Tag"
Managing Tags
- View all tags: Go to Settings > Tags to see all your tags
- Rename a tag: Click on a tag and edit its name
- Delete a tag: Click the delete icon next to a tag
- Filter by tag: In My EziLinks, click a tag to see all links with that tag
Tag best practices:
- Use consistent naming (e.g., "campaign-2024" instead of "Campaign 2024")
- Keep tag names short and descriptive
- Use categories like: campaigns, clients, products, social, etc.
Expiration Page Customisation
Customise what users see when they visit an expired link.
Default Expiration Settings
- Default Expiration Message: The message shown when a link expires (e.g., "This link has expired")
- Default Contact Email: An email address for users to contact if they need access
- Default Expiration Logo: Your brand logo to display on the expiration page
These defaults apply to all expired links unless overridden on individual links.
Subscription & Billing
Manage your subscription plan and view billing information.
Current Plan
The Account Plan section shows your current subscription:
- Plan name: Free or Pro
- Status: Active, Cancelled, or Past Due
- Renewal date: When your next payment is due (Pro only)
Upgrading to Pro
- Go to Settings
- Find the Account Plan section
- Click "Upgrade to Pro"
- Choose monthly ($9.95/month) or annual ($7.46/month, billed $89.50/year)
- Enter your payment details
- Complete the purchase
Pro Features Include:
- Unlimited links
- Custom aliases
- Up to 5 custom domains
- Password protection
- Advanced analytics
- API access
- Priority support
Cancelling Your Subscription
- Go to Settings
- Find the Account Plan section
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm the cancellation
When you cancel:
- You keep Pro features until the end of your billing period
- Your account reverts to Free when the period ends
- Your links continue to work
- Pro-only features (custom domains, passwords) will be disabled
Updating Payment Method
- Go to Settings
- Click "Manage Billing"
- You'll be redirected to our secure payment portal
- Update your card details
Deleting Your Account
If you wish to delete your account, please contact us at support@ezilinks.com.
Account Deletion is Permanent
When you delete your account:
- All your short links will stop working
- All data will be permanently deleted within 90 days
- Active subscriptions will be cancelled
- This action cannot be undone
